I work out every Saturday and Sunday, and then at least 2, but usually 3 days during the work week.
Every other workout, I do 30 min of cardio and 45 min of weight training. The other days, I do 40 min of cardio and abs. |

- Duration: Half-hour to an hour in the morning, about an hour of weight training. - Hobby exercise (biking, hiking, rock climbing); I wish!! Would love to get into a rock-gym, but can't find a buddy to go with. I have always been one of those guys who excercises off and on. I do great for a while until distraction and lazyness kicks in. Once I get so disgusted with myself, I get back into an excercize routine and do pretty well for a while, until distraction kicks in... and the cycle continues. But, as far as benefits go -- I've never been one for New Years resolutions, but I began going again in early January, and in only about a month and a half, already shed at least 10 pounds, and put on some noticable muscle mass in the right places. My confidence is higher already because I'm not constantly sucking in the gut, I dont have to worry about getting trounced in a bar for checking out some guy's girl, and I can see my pecker in the shower again. And incidentally... Carlos, I wondered while listening to the Alpha Man materials why you never mentioned excercise and weight training as a method for achieving a higher alpha status. I'll take a stab at predicting your reply: That being an alpha man is not about physical attributes, but rather about attitude. That's true. But surely working out and being in good physical shape is a sure-fire way to build confidence. J. |

But you might be right, I might not have gotten to the material on excercize yet.

Mainly cardio about 4 times a week with weights if I have the time. I find cardo keeps my stamina up and clears my mind to some measure, so I put the most emphasis on doing those exercises. A bit of a tip for people doing cardio is to drink a cup of fresh green tea about 30 minutes before your workout and you'll find your endurance will go up. Not to mention it's a decent opener to use on the gym girls.

I've just started a program called, 'Combat Conditioning'. It's by a guy called Matt Furey and you can buy it online.
These routines involve using only your own body weight and are also good cardio-vascular workouts. Half of my front room is taken up by this massive weight-training bench and all sorts of weights, barbells and dumbells and I need to free this space up. Apparently, although I still like the idea of training with weights, training using your own body weight gives you a more natural physique. Though I would like to combine the two just by having a few dumbells still lying around. I still like to go to the gym to do cardio-vascular training as I pay a monthly membership and want to make the most out of it. Sin-jun |

I exercise like 5-6 times a week. I don't follow a schedule like chest and arms on monday and legs on tuesday and so on. I always stick to compound exercises for like 20 minutes each day followed by 20-30 minutes of HIIT (High Intesity Interval Training). My Workouts are never more than 50-60 minutes because you will be in the overtraining mode if you do any more than 60 minutes.
You can say I do freestyle training, but I just have many, many compound exercises. I use like 4 exercises each day. 1-2 sets of each exercise with 10-12 repetitions. That's how I stay healthy. It isn't much but well, I don't need anymore training since I already have a six pack and do well in sports. |
