Ex-girlfriend issue

I recently got rid of my last girlfriend. I've been putting myself back out there in the game being more socially active. I had an ex contact me recently. She wanted to talk and see how things were goin. I guess she indirectly found out I was available again. Our relationship was very good all around about 5 years ago. It lasted for a little over 3 years.

Anyways, our relationship originally ended because of problems with moving back in with my mother from our apt. It was to try and save more money, so we could afford some place better. Well, that failed miserably. She moved in with her mom about 40 miles away an started goin out to clubs a lot. We grew apart and that was that.

Her and I went out on a date and had a great time here recently. She showed all kinds of IOI's, and we made out at the end of the date. Everything went real smooth. It was like we went right back to how we were before....only there was even more energy between us. After a few days, I contacted her sayin it would be good for us to go do something fun. I suggested we go to a theme park for the day. I told her what days would be good for me, and she said she would get back with me.

We talked at different times throughout the week, but never about the trip. She'll call with lots of energy...seemingly excited to talk with me. Well, its getting close to the time frame in which I need to cement when we could go...yet she has cut back on how often she contacts me. I want to press the issue here, but I wonder why I should even bother based on the info I understand from these programs.

In other words, Im actually askin how much energy should I invest at this point? Most of the time, she contacts me first. Its been a couple more days than usual. Should I just let the trip idea go completely and wait for her to ask about meeting back up? Just tryin to get some ideas here. I know if she really wanted to go, she would just make it happen. I dont understand why she would waste so much energy talkin to me since that idea came up though(conversations were always fun and energetic). I feel like Im getting a mixed signal here....
