When someone's stealing your joke

Don't you hate that, when you're with a group of people and you make a funny comment to someone. And then that person makes the same joke aloud so everyone can hear it. Don't know what's going on minds of people that are doing that.

This reaction is a bit old, but still works:

"hey that one's copyrighted, you owe me 5 bucks!"

But still, reacting to it in a group might seem a bit helplessly. Everyone already has sympathy for the guy who said it (I seldom see women do this).

What do you guys day to this?
