Default Concept: resistance hides benefit

A couple of days ago I heard a great concept from a friend.

He said: the activities where you feel the biggest resistance to, are the things where you can gain the most benefit.
Not in a way that when you feel a resistance to kill someone you should do it, but resistance to skills that could really help you forward when you own them.

For example, I have a big resistance to go to martial art classes. I'd love to do it, and I pay for it, but there's so much resistance the 4 hours before the training , that I seldom go.

In which atcivities do you feel resistance, where you know they will get you further in life if you would do them regularly?
