It's funny how we make up stories in our head that are so far from the truth. Still they dominate your game.
What are your limiting beliefs, that you later found out they weren't true at all? here's mine: A week ago I went to a party with some friends and a girl I like. After an hour or two we were just chilling out a bit and talking as a group. Then this quite handsome guy walked up to the girl and asked if she wanted to dance. She agreed and they started to dance. I only looked twice how they were doing, and then I asked one of my (female) friends to dance. I didn't want to be waiting there for her to finish with that other guy. I'm going to tell the story I had made up (and really affected my game) and then the one SHE told me at the end of the evening: My story: The two times I looked, I saw them talking quite a lot and from my perspective he was showing her some cool new dancing moves. He looked smooth etc. and I really got the impression she was impressed by him. Her story: The guy asked her to dance. The dancing style he knew, was different than the one she knew and he was trying to show her how he danced (wrong). To make it even worse, she said something about it to him, and he couldn't speak either English nor her language, so they didn't understand each other. She said it was hilarious, to be asked by a guy who didn't understand her words and dancing moves. So all in all, I thought he made a very good impression on her mind. The truth was, he didn't. So next time you're in a club and you are thinking for someone else, know you are actually thinking for someone else and it's quite likely not the truth. Same when you walk up to a shy good looking chick: when you don't say anything, yes she might not smile at you when you just look at her. But when you say "hi" in a cheerful way, she smiles back in relief that someone has greeted her so relaxed.' cheers |
